Fall DIY Projects

Thanks to pinterest, I've found a few fun things to add to my to-do list.

I'd love to do a series of these canvases and put them up on the blank wall in my new office. I think I might paint the canvas a different color instead of leaving it white. I'll post when it's complete!

Am I really far behind on planning for Baby Nix's arrival? I don't have any idea what we are going to do for his room at this point... I need a guide! There is so much possibility.

It's not really a to-do, but sometime this fall Aaron and I are planning on purchasing a new sofa for the living room. Before we do that I have to figure out what, exactly, we are looking for! I am a terrible decision maker when it comes to decorating my own home. I can't commit to a decision. Any tips on getting past this?

I just love this mantel; especially the banner hanging across it. I need to keep that sentiment in the front of my mind throughout this season: GIVE THANKS!

I think the canvas idea is great! I have a hard time committing to buying large pieces of furniture that I know I am going to have for a long time, too. It is a little intimidating, since I am not sure what my style will be in the future, or that something I pick out now will still be something that I enjoy. I think my suggestion would be to look at a lot of different websites for ideas, especially if you are looking to buy new. Sometimes antique stores/goodwill-type places will have the occasional interesting find, too! I generally like the modern, simplistic look of West Elm furniture if you haven't checked out that site yet. Good luck!
