It's official!

I'm graduating! Officially! Talked to my fabulous adviser today and confirmed that this will be my seventh and final semester of undergraduate study here at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I just sent off my $25 fee to the registrar. So exciting, and at the same time, it's something I can't believe I'm completing already. Three and a half years... one-seventh of my life.... spent in this wonderful place with people who have come to be my family.

UNL's graduation will be on December 19, the day before our wedding, so I will be trading walking across the stage for walking down the aisle. After seeing my friends and my fiance graduate last semester, I'm a little sad that I'll miss "that moment," but I know that what I'm trading it for is definitely worth it. And, of course, this won't be my last graduation, so I'll have Master's/JD/PhD.s to look forward to.... Maybe at our rehearsal dinner we can have a pretend graduation, too :)

Since we're going to be on our honeymoon over Christmas, we've decided that for dinner over the holiday we are going to take a sleigh to the top of the mountains and enjoy dinner here:

Beano's Cabin at Breckenridge. Funny name, huh? I can't wait! And a sleigh ride to the top...sigh. I've been tracking the temperatures already to make sure there's enough snow to ski :)
