back to blog layout

I still haven't perfected the background I had. Whatever. On the scale of importance in my life, it can stand to wait. I didn't get to sleep until around 4 a.m., woke up at 11 a.m., and now I'm sitting here in my pojammies AS LONG AS I FEEL LIKE IT.

I get to see that bob in 11 days. He's flying in to Boston, where I'll pick him up, and then we're driving back to the Cape for one last night. The next morning we'll start the 20+ hour trek down to Tallahassee, Fla., where he begins graduate student classes! I'm so proud of him for loving what he does, and I'm excited to see what's going to happen in the next couple of years for his career and his passion for filmmaking. Have I ever told you I think he's really cool? And that when we first met I was INCREDIBLY intimidated by 1. how handsome he was 2. the fact that he had a "Hail to the Theif" poster in his dorm (this is nebraska, in an honors dorm, and I was really apprehensive that I would find a guy with similar tastes. I wasn't looking, nor did I know where to, but ta-dah! there he was.) ok, so maybe i'm being a music snob. whatevs. 3. all of his movies. i immediately wondered what he was studying. if I remember correctly, I thought it was engineering.
All of these things sound really superficial, but keep in mind that this was the first time I saw him. We didn't talk. I ran away. Like I said, intimidation.

ANYWAYZ, yeah. that same intimidating film-making hunk is now my fiance and he's moving next week to the apartment that we'll be living in when we get hitched. I am excited excited excited because for the first time in my life (well, not 'til December, but I'm planning now) there will be creative control shared by just one other person. So we'll get to make it our own. So pumped. And it helps that he has this crazy aesthetic for design. Me? Not a perceiver. I have to put it all in a box and arrange it...there's no way I can visualize. Reason #112 we make a great team.

Um, what else. Yeah. I was going to write about our save the date fiasco but I won't now. Because as a copy editor, perfection is my goal. And there was a big (to me) problem with our save the dates. And I'm trying to let it go because IT IS JUST PAPER and MISTAKES HAPPEN even though I am who I am and I do what I do. Half of them are out, anyway. So there's nothing to be done. Fin.

Did you know I hate breakfast food? Except for those breakfast pizzas they serve at my old dorm. That was about the only breakfast food I've ever liked. I would rather eat a hamburger or something.

La la la. Today is the end of my last full pay period at the internship. Wow. Next week (starting Tuesday) is my last full week. Crazy how it's flown by.

Sorry if this was obnoxious to read. Kinda.

can't believe you don't like breakfast foods. breakfast foods are the best. but i can go for a sit down dinner at breakfast time as well.

I hate breakfast foods too. Often I think that I'd like some pizza (hot and fresh, not cold) or soups or a burger.. but then I think that people would think less of me. So I just drink coffee.
