Home again. Twelve long hours on the interstate, and I'm certainly ready to take a three-week break from driving 700s. And by driving I mean riding, because we traveled to see my family in Aaron's car, which I can't drive because it's a standard... whoops :)
This week I'm looking forward to decorating our apartment for Christmas, doing some shopping for gifts, deep cleaning the guest bedroom closets, baking and a birthday celebration for my husband. We will start the weekend with a trip to the Big XII championship game in Dallas against the Oklahoma Sooners. My sister goes to the University of Oklahoma, and we are both eager to see our teams play. I wish we could go to the game together, since it is the last time for a while that our schools will play each other, but I think there is a plan in the works for a revamped annual rivalry game between NU and OU in the 2020s.
I'm exhausted, so I'm going to get to bed early tonight to start the week off right. It's hard to believe Thanksgiving weekend is coming to a close already, but I'm eager to count down the days until we get to go back for Christmas.
I'm really, really thankful for my family. And my friends. And you guys for reading and commenting on this blog. Thank you!
