UPDATE 2- 8:30 p.m. Sunday
I just got out of the shower.
Guess what?
Our kitchen floor is flooded. Hopefully not under the carpet as well. The kitchen/laundry room share a wall with my bathroom, which means that water must be coming from somewhere in the shower (?) in through the kitchen. We called emergency maintenance again. Let's see if they show up this time.

UPDATE 2 p.m. Sunday
The shower is finally fixed. The landlady called around 1 and asked if the emergency maintenance fixed it to our satisfaction. When I told her emergency maintenance never showed up, the regular guy (who always does a great job) was there and solved the problem. Something broke inside the faucet, so it all had to be completely replaced. This is probably super boring to anyone but AC and me, but it was so strange when, in the middle of the night, the faucet broke.

Original post 10 a.m. Sunday
What the eff. I woke up last night around 2 because I thought it was raining. Woke up at 5:30 a.m. thinking "wow, it's still raining really hard."Nope. The shower in my bathroom had been running since I went to bed around 10:30 last night. I turned it off completely, and the faucet was not dripping when I went to bed. Over the course of seven hours, it went from a slow drip to a really fast, steady stream - enough to shower in - and it's still going. We've contacted the emergency maintenance guys and turned the faucet off and our showerhead on, but there's no way we can stop the stream of water. We can' t turn all of the water in the apartment off, either, because it's under a lock outside. This is a nightmare. Among the things I can't figure out is how the stream's managed to get progressively harder. It's weird. A lot of money going down the drain, too. Bah.

I love this. I am a terrible decorator and have always been jealous of those who just have an eye for it. So, I'm jealous.
