it's Friday. What the what?!

1. I feel very, very energized and motivated today. There are big [to me] things I see on the horizon and I want to run right up to them so they don't get ahead of me.

2. Weekends, not week nights, to catch up.

3. Do what you love!

4. _____ completely unique.
{I am refusing to answer this question because I HATE HATE HATE the word unique.}

5. It's hard to know how much cream and sugar to add to my coffee. I've been doing it for years, but it's still trial-and-error for me.

6. Happiness follows suit.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to getting my sunglasses, tomorrow my plans include taking a day trip to Georgia and Sunday, I want to lay out in the sunshine!

P.S. One of my favorite bloggers, Elefantitas Alegres, posted today about Etsy's corporate offices. How fun would it be to have a red telephone box as an office?! Go read about it!

i want to go to there

{The view from Aaron's aunt and uncle's home on the Emerald Coast}

So, I have been in a big slump for the last few weeks. The really good things going on in my life have been (in my mind) outweighed by a few bad things, and I've kind of sat here dwelling on them. I will go into more detail in a later post, but I just wanted to say thanks, everyone, for reading the lately-unfun blog this has become. I want to write about the true experiences I'm having, but I'm not sure how much good and bad I should publish out there. I don't want to be one of those shiny happy people who is so happy it's irritating - I don't really get joy from reading about that all the time - but I also don't want this to be my soapbox. So please bear with me as I explore a little more of what this "blog" actually is to me.

We don't have any concrete plans for the weekend. If I could I would pack our bags and be ready and waiting for Aaron when he got out of class so we could spend tomorrow on a beach like the one in said picture, but I'm not sure that will happen. You know, money and planning and things... all of which I dislike but what Aaron claims are necessary (what fun is he?).

Since I haven't done it for a while, here's today's Friday Fill-In:
1. All you need is love.
2.
Too many mojitos and a dancing husband fill me with laughter.
3. Each generation, as it grows up,
becomes the one before it.
4.
Being out of the loop is something I have a hard time dealing with.
5. A trip to
the beach! is what I need.
6.
Give and you get back.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to
spending an evening with my long-lost husband, tomorrow my plans include ???? and Sunday, I want to celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ!

Sorry this is a day late! I hope you all have a really lovely weekend. Here it is supposed to be sunny and cool- around 55 degrees.

1. Why are you making me pick up all of the Cadbury eggs you push all over the floor, Livy?
2. I want you to take care of the decorating decisions!
3. If I paint my toenails orange, then it will be on my terms.
4. Upgrade your mattress and see what happens.
5. I could use a decorating guru. I'm overwhelmed with possibilities!
6. Work and then enjoy.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to making my first voluntary trip to Lowe's tomorrow my plans include cleaning and going to the park to see Aaron's film crew and Sunday, I want to choose all of my outfits for the week so I can iron them early and not worry about it in the mornings!

Friday, February 19, 2010

1. Johnny Weir: "A fallen angel."
2. SHAUN WHITE OWNS the 2010 Olympics.
3. And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud (I really like this quote but can't finish it off the top of my head) became less than the risk to unfurl(?).
4. Don't just stand there, bust a move if you get an urge.
5. Having sweet dreams about my boss pouring cups of water over our Xerox machine.
6. What does it take to get mint julep cups? Seriously, I'm on the prowl for some.

2. I hope to start a fire, enjoy a glass of wine, and read “Beach House Living” at home.
3. The snow is not falling in Tallahassee, unfortunately. But my mom sent me pictures of the lovely stuff in Tyler and it makes me happy that they can enjoy it. It only happens once every five or so years!
4. Going out and living in nature.
5. It's 5:16 PM; that means I am still not home yet!
6. A good man is hard to find.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to emptying our moving boxes, tomorrow my plans include cleaning out Gumby for good and Sunday, I want to celebrate a day of love with my love!
